Collaboration Groupware Categories |

Collaboration groupware is divided into two categories related to time and two other categories related to place. When a group is using an application at the same time, it is called synchronous collaboration groupware; when a group is using the same application at different times, it is called asynchronous collaboration groupware. The place-related categories are collocated, when the groupware is used by people in the same place; and distance, when the groupware is used by people in different places. |

| VIP Task Manager is synchronous groupware for task management that can be used both as collocated or non-collocated. It is client/server software for team collaboration, project management and workflow automation. Authorized users can simultaneously access the common database through Local Network (LAN) to see, add, edit and delete their group or personal tasks, if they are grunted appropriate permissions.
