| " Although I use Microsoft Outlook I found that
the task tracking in your software has a better view and layout than Outlook. I like
the way that icons can be used for different categories, and the different colours
that are used in the main task list make it easier to get an overall
picture of outstanding issues." |

Using memory for tracking things you should do
|
A lot of people keep things they need to do or also have done in their memory. But our memory is not a computer and we can't get out from it every detail, and such amount of information can put an awful stress on our brain. Don't relay to keep track of all your tasks and projects on your memory. |
|
Some people can work at several large projects and on different smaller tasks at the same time. However for the most of us memory places an artificial limit how much we can handle. A big amount of small details overwhelms us. Also when we keep track of things in your memory we can forget some important tasks or projects.
You can break a large project into small parts and do them step by step, but are you sure that you can remember some small details in two days or on next week? You will waste their time on trying to remember some small details. These lost minutes can add up to hours and weeks over the course of a year. It is very difficult to concentrate on your work if you use your memory to keep track of details.
What will change if you don't keep all the information in your head? You can write down some tasks in your calendar or planner but it doesn't solve the problem. Using sticky notes as reminders is not a good time management system because the reminders are constantly in your face. They just distract you from your current work. The real way out is to get all your tasks into your time management system.
|
You need a system, like VIP Organizer that can help you organize your work step by step and will remind you about the information that you need. It can be a sound alarm (just a sound or your favorite song), an e-mail letter or SMS message on your mobile phone or pop-up message on your desktop. And you will always know what you have to do and when. |
