| " Although I use Microsoft Outlook I found that
the task tracking in your software has a better view and layout than Outlook. I like
the way that icons can be used for different categories, and the different colours
that are used in the main task list make it easier to get an overall
picture of outstanding issues." |

Various Ways to Beat Procrastination
|
All people procrastinate. As procrastination is one of the worst enemies of our time, so here are several tips that can help you beat procrastination:
|
- Do the tasks you are likely to put off first. Look at your task list and choose the most threatening task (such task which you usually avoid) and spend on it a fixed amount of time.
- More often we procrastinate if we have a big task. Break it down to small parts and do them step by step. You will see how much easier it would be to achieve the result.
- Ask someone to help you (for example: your friend, co-worker, etc.). Explain to him what you want to do and start doing it together. More often it is difficult to start, but when you start, it is already the half way to the finish.
- If you need to do some unpleasant task, try to find a pleasant part in it and start from this part. Do it and you will be close to your most important tasks.
- Spend a limited amount of time to each of your tasks, for example: 15 - 30 minutes,
- Track your goals. If you write them down it will be easier track your progress.
- Reward or punish yourself. When we complete a task it is pleasant, but if we don't, it is not. A reward can be one of the motivation methods that help us to accomplish more tasks.

VIP Organizer can help you beat procrastination. It allows sorting your tasks by priorities (lowest, low, high, highest and urgent) and by status (created, open, waiting, put on hold, cancelled and Ok.). Also you can set a reminder and receive notifications about the tasks that must be done first. So you will always know which of you tasks must be done immediately and which of them can wait. |
