Is it true to say that clicking on a main Category in the Category Bar will not bring up a list of Tasks if the Category has sub-Categories?

To set Category filter thare are foolowing possibilities:
1. Double Click on Category that doesn't have any subcategories
2. One click on any category + "Alt" key
3. "Ctrl" + Double click on as many categories as you like
4. "Ctrl" + "Alt" + One Click
As we understood "Alt" + One click on Category you need is your variant.

Hi

I might be wrong, but I reckon that Alt + one click on a category that has subcategories brings up all tasks in that category and its subcategories.

So far I haven't found a way of bringing up only the main category on its own.

As a work around, I've emptied all Tasks from main categories, and put them in sub categories.

You know it is a good solution.
The question is whether main category should have its own tasks when it has subcategories. Because if it is a 'tree' (main category) - leaves (tasks) should grow on branches (subcategories) and not on the tree trunk. Thus subcategory 'general' seems to be a better solution.
Thank you.

Or to use Resources with Categories. Then I find that I don't need Subcategories.
