Effective techniques for managing time

How can we manage our time and spend it effectively? How can we allocate it better and accomplish more each day? Here are several techniques we need to follow to manage our time effectively:

  • List all the things that must be accomplished (both your work and personal tasks). It will help you to keep all your tasks in front of your eyes and not to forget about some of them.
  • After you have a list of you tasks, you need to prioritize them by importance and urgency. So, you can control your time and accomplish the most important or urgent tasks first.
  • Set deadlines to each of your tasks and activities to know what time period you need to spend on this or that task and manage your time productively.
  • Discipline yourself by finishing the task you've already started, don't waste your time on some unimportant things (Such as: phone calls or watching TV). Develop a habit of finishing the things you start.
  • Don't try to accomplish too many tasks a day, as it will lead you to overwhelming and stress. Plan to accomplish 5-6 the most important or urgent tasks a day. Remember that you need a rest and also have some personal tasks that must be also accomplished.

Following these techniques you will learn how to manage your time effectively and accomplish more things each day. However you need a tool where you can store all your tasks and activities.
