Time is always not enough. We can’t handle time, but we can plan it and deal with it. Decide which things you want to accomplish during the day and try to manage your time. More often we waste our time, but we need to remember that we won’t have the possibility to bring back the time we wasted. We need to understand that our time is limited and we need to plan our actions for exact time periods. Here are several time management techniques which can help in planning your time better:

  • Analyze how you spend your time. Divide your day to certain time periods (for example: 20 minutes) and see how much time you spend on each task. Also, evaluate time on each task and then record the actual time you spent on each particular task. So, you will have a clear picture how much time you need to spend on each task.
  • Set goals. Set goals for a day, for a week, for a month and large goals. You need to know what you want to achieve during a certain period of time and turn these activities into goals.
  • Prioritize. As not all of your goals are important, you need to prioritize them by importance and urgency. Focus and achieve the goals which are most important or urgent at that moment.
  • Create a task list. Put all your goals into the task list, so you will have a clear picture of the things you need to do now and about the things you need to do next.
  • While creating your task list don’t forget about spending dome time for yourself. Your schedule should include not only work activities but also, some pleasant things you can spend your time on.
  • Delegate. We think that we can do everything by ourselves, but such thoughts lead to stress and overwhelming. Delegate some tasks which can be done by someone else on other people (members of your family, colleagues, etc).
  • Reward yourself. Reward yourself each time you accomplish one of your goals, these rewards will help you to stay motivated in accomplishing your next goals.

Using these techniques, you will see how much time you have during a day and how many things you can accomplish during this day and also there is a time period you can spend on yourself.
