Task Management Software

"This software rocks golden. Have been looking for this thingy a long time now. My search is over."
Tommy Hofton -
Eggedal, Norway
" Although I use Microsoft Outlook I found that the task tracking in your software has a better view and layout than Outlook. I like the way that icons can be used for different categories, and the different colours that are used in the main task list make it easier to get an overall picture of outstanding issues."
Christopher Jones -
Arundel, AU
"I have a purchased copy of VIP Team To Do List. Has to be one of the best products I have ever purchased. Well worth it."
Chad Lindsey -

Types of reminder

People need to remember a lot of things but they can't keep all the information only in their memory. It is important to use a reminder system. Here are some ways how we can keep the information that we need:

  1. Calendar.

Calendar is very useful to remind you about specific events or for scheduling certain time for working on specific projects. But it's not very useful for managing your tasks and projects. The problem is that when you don't finish the task in time, you need to remember to move it to other future date or to allocate more time for it.

You will not have any notification that your task is not finished yet. That is why it would be better to use the master project list to keep track of everything that you need to get done. And use your calendar only to schedule time interval for projects. Your master project will reflect on unfinished task and you can easily schedule more time for the project at a future date.

  1. Checklists.

Checklists are also very useful in remembering important details. They can be used to find and correct common errors and problems quickly.

  2. Cheat sheets.

Cheat sheets help you to remember regular information without relying only on your memory. You can keep such information as: some important dates, common phone numbers or any other information that you use regularly in cheat sheets.

  3. Reminder Cards/Notes.

These cards help you to remember something important. Stick the reminder card on your door or refrigerator or somewhere else to see what you need to do. Put as much reminders as possible all over the house. The more places you have to put reminders, the more places you have to look.

  1. Reminder Software.

Reminder software notifies users about things they plan to do in a certain date and time, you can be notified by a pop-up message, by e-mail, or by a message on your mobile phone.

VIP Organizer is reminder software which gathers your tasks into a manageable list and notifies you by email (to mobile as well), sound or desktop message that time has come for action, so you could make your plans a reality faster.

Here are 5 steps which can help you to organize your task list and set a reminder:
  1. Make a list of personal information items and tasks you would like to be reminded of (use CTRL + ALT +A to quickly add tasks and items to the list)
  2. Prioritize your tasks according to their urgency or importance (use SHIFT + CTRL + UP or SHIFT + CTRL + DOWN to increase or decrease priority)
  3. Set due date and time for each task (use Due Date in Edit Task dialog to specify the date in the drop down calendar)
  4. Set date and time when you want the reminder to notify you about tasks to do. (use Reminder in Edit Task Dialog)
  5. Choose additional methods to be reminded (use Sound or Email Message settings Reminder in Edit Task Dialog).
    1. If you want to receive a pop-up message you need to set date and time of reminder.
    2. If you want the program to play a sound as a reminder, you should choose the sound or the song you like in your PC.
    3. If you want to receive an e-mail message as a reminder, you should enter the e-mail address or choose from the list of your team members.
