Task Management Software

| " Although I use Microsoft Outlook I found that
the task tracking in your software has a better view and layout than Outlook. I like
the way that icons can be used for different categories, and the different colours
that are used in the main task list make it easier to get an overall
picture of outstanding issues." |

GTD planner
 |
GTD planner is a type of software which can be used to cope with famous time management method invented and described by David Allen (Getting Things Done). Actually, any time management software can be called “GTD planner” if only it supports the main traits and stages of GTD planning method:
|
- Defining purpose – this stage is about answering a question “why do I need to do this?”. As a result of this stage we define what a successful outcome is, we decide where we want to get, and obtain a motivational background.
- Visioning outcome and brainstorming – it is about figuring out the ways of how we will achieve results that we want to get. You need to visualize the end outcome and brainstorm to generate some ideas on how to advance towards completion. Put your ideas on a paper (or into your electronic GTD daily planner) to clear your mind and let in some new ideas.
- Organizing ideas into practical steps – study and sort your ideas to translate them into definite doable actions. On this stage you are ploting the practical course towards predefined purpose (with a help of GTD planner you can easily group your actions into sequences and by priorities).
- Identify the next steps – the necessary condition of GTD planning is defining the next action following after every previous action, until your goals are achieved (with a help of GTD planner software you can easily build step-by-step sequences of actions and control the way of their performance).
