Most often people who have small business don't have enough people to complete tasks and very often they have only one or two team members. So, as a result, there are too many tasks that must be completed and not enough people to complete them. The way out is to learn how to organize their time and tasks properly. Here are several tips that can help you to organize your small business:

  • Create a list of your tasks. Then, look through your task list to see which tasks you can assign to someone else and which of them can be done only by you.
  • Sort your tasks by priority and urgency. So, you will always know which tasks must be accomplished first and which of them can wait.
  • Create a list of employees you have. Include yourself in this list and assign tasks to each of you.
  • Set deadlines to your tasks. Each task must have estimated and actual time, so you can see how long each particular task takes.
  • Don't forget about breaks. As after breaks you will be more focused and work more productively.
  • Help your employees to develop the habit of responsibility at work.
  • Communicate with your staff. Tell them your expectations about their work and also show them their mistakes. Let them know that if they have any questions or problems they always can ask you.
  • Reward yourself and your team members for each completed goal or large task, so, each of you will keep motivated in achieving your future goals and tasks.
